Desert Esperanza Sober Houses provide permanent housing and supportive services for 16 low-income seriously mentally ill adults who are transitioning from 24 hour residential substance abuse treatment programs. This is a population in need of affordable, high-quality housing in which to maintain their sobriety and the mental/emotional stability gained while in treatment. Desert Esperanza provides easy access to the support programs, services and neighborhood amenities required by this population. |

The Sober Houses are single story homes that include all major appliances, with one home meeting ADA accessibility requirements. Laundry equipment is included on site and New Arizona Family, Inc. pays all utility costs. |
| The supportive services that are provided to residents of Desert Esperanza include short-term case management, mental health counseling, transportation, education and employment services, and access to resources needed for residents to achieve their personal goals. |
