New Arizona Family, Inc.'s (NAFI) Mesa and Phoenix SMI & Dual Diagnosis Programs serve seriously mentally ill adults in recovery from substance abuse. These residential communities provide housing and substance abuse recovery treatment, supportive services and safe therapeutic environments for adults who have an extensive history of substance abuse and who carry an SMI diagnosis. The men and women we serve may also need intensive and supervised continuing care.
New Arizona Family, Inc.'s (NAFI) SMI & Dual Diagnosis Programs provide the following services to dual diagnosed men and or women ages 18 and older: - Comprehensive psychological, psychiatric, social, educational and medical assessments
- Treatment plan, based on the comprehensive assessment and in consultation with the client
- Education and assistance to accept addiction and substance abuse patterns
- Assistance developing alternative behaviors to substance use and abuse
- Assist clients in obtaining involvement in formal and informal community based recovery-based groups
- A structured program that allows clients to learn and practice basic living skills and socialization skills
- Tools to improve relationships with family members
- Assist families of clients by providing educational and practical experiences to improve their response to previously dysfunctional family systems
Behavioral Health Services offered include: Substance Abuse group counseling consists of various groups provided throughout the week covering: Stress Management, Relapse Prevention, Substance Abuse and Mental Health, Meditation; Individual Counseling; Relationship, Family, and Significant Other Counseling; Medication Services and/or Medical or Psychiatric Appointments; and Daily Clinical Services. New Arizona Family, Inc. Dual Diagnosis Program Sites are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.
