Articles and Press Releases On April 18th, 2006, New Arizona Family, Inc. (NAFI) was presented with the Housing Developer of the Year Award by the City of Phoenix for its celebration of National Community Development Week. The award was part of the City of Phoenix's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Week. The city recognized important projects and programs through the awards presentation. Ten awards were made, and NAFI was the only one receiving the Housing Developer of the Year Award. The award is for NAFI's work to rehabilitate Pinchot Gardens Residential Community that also resulted in increasing the number of bed space for the women and children served in the program. NAFI is very pleased to be the recipient of such an honor. There are many to thank for making this project so successful especially Arizona Department of Housing, Babos Design Studios, Caliente Construction. The Virginia G. Piper Trust, and The City of Phoenix.
