Pinchot Apartments is a newly-constructed 18 unit apartment complex that provides safe, permanent housing to women in recovery from substance abuse and their children. NAFI's experience is that low-income individuals who are newly sober are at risk of re-entering environments that neither support continued recovery nor provide safe housing for them and their children.
Because residents at Pinchot Apartments have obtained safe, stable and secure housing, they are then more able to improve their lives in other significant areas, including maintaining their sobriety, individual self-sufficiency, and seeking appropriate support services (i.e. parenting skills training, child development education, job training, money management education, etc.)
Pinchot Apartments Screening Criteria:
- Single women with children

Has a referral from an agency that provides substance abuse treatment
